  • If I'm a new student, how do I sign up for class?
If you're a new student and want to sign-up for your first class, feel free to use the code FREECLASS to try your very first class at Pivot for free. If you're bringing kids for youth programs, you're welcome to come and observe a class for free for the first time. If you have difficulty signing up for class, shoot us an email hello@thisispivotpdx.com and we'll help you. Or, just come when doors open and we'll help you get registered.
  • What should I wear to class?
Wear something you feel comfortable in - anything that you can move, sweat, breathe in! And if you're coming for Momentum or Kids Hip Hop classes, don't forget your sneakers.
  • What should I bring to class?
For Flow & Funk and Booty Luv Fitness®, please bring a yoga mat (if you have one), towel (if you want one), any props you'd like (we provide blocks and straps), a water bottle, and a positive attitude! For Momentum, come ready to dance, either in sneakers or barefoot (if desired) and bring a water bottle. No mats or props required. For youth classes, please send kids with a water bottle and a yoga mat for Flow & Funk classes. We have studio mats for youth if they do not have their own.
  • What should I expect in my first class?
Pivot classes are held at the historic Village Ballroom. You'll park on the street and then enter the ballroom via the stairs on the westside/right side of the building. You will be greeted and checked into class in either the sitting lounge or the bar. The Village Ballroom has an in-house bar. The bar is open for beverage service at all evening Pivot classes. Minors are not allowed to order at the bar. Your instructor and Pivot community members will help guide you on your first visit. Doors open 15 minutes prior to each class so we can connect with one another and settle in before class starts. You are always welcome to arrive late and exit early.
  • Do you have water or beverages available?
We have a water fountain and refrigerated beverages available for purchase at the bar.
  • Is there somewhere I can leave or store my mat?
We do not currently offer mat storage. Please bring your mat with you to class and be sure to bring it home with you.
  • Do you have props available to use?
We have blocks and straps. We also have yoga mats for rent if you need one. You can grab what you need once you have checked in for class.
  • Do you have showers?
No, we do not have showers on site but many of our students go from yoga to work to play with a quick bathroom refresh!
  • Do you have childcare available?
No - we do not have childcare available on site.
  • Is there somewhere to change?
Feel free to use the restrooms in the hallway to change before and after class.
  • Can I rent a yoga mat and towel?
We do not offer towel rentals, please bring your own! Mat rentals are available for $2 per class.
